The Frederikssund Finger is situated north-west of Copenhagen.
With the Frederikssund Motorway and the S-train, Copenhagen
International Airport is only between 20-45 minutes away. The
proximity to the city centre and the airport makes the area an
attractive location for any business.
The Frederikssund Finger hosts a number of well-known
international companies within ICT and biotechnology/pharma among
which Tellabs, Oracle, Xerox and Intel are the most prominent. In
addition, Novo Nordisk has a large pharmaceutical site in Måløv
with more than 1,000 employees. In total the area has some 10,000
jobs within ICT and the part of the district closest to the city
goes by the name of the Silicon Valley of the Øresund Region.
Other major companies such as Pfizer and Robert Bosch have
located their Scandinavian Headquarters in the area.
Well-known Danish companies in the area include Leo Pharma and
GN Netcom.
The finger offers sites for light manufacturing and distribution
and is a preferred office location for companies within ICT as well
as insurance companies. The rent level for office buildings
typically ranges from EUR 100-140 per sqm p.a., exclusive of
operating costs (source: Sadolin & Albæk, Copenhagen and
Malmoe, Property Market Report 2004).
