Danish technology incubator programs
The technology incubator programs offer a mix of seed capital,
physical infrastructure, and professional and business expertise to
entrepreneurs. This seed capital is available through government
grants, while infrastructure and professional expertise/advisory
services are provided by the technology incubators, which
themselves operate as private businesses.
Through the programme, incubators can provide capital (up to €
107,800) to entrepreneurs in the start-up phase as direct
subsidies, loans or capital investments. The aim is thereafter to
attract more venture capital from other investors. The incubators
themselves often have additional investments in each of the
projects.
The public supported incubators in the Copenhagen area are
Symbion Science Park, CAT Science, Technology Innovation and DTU
Innovation A/S.
