Companies within IT & telecom tend to locate their business
in the Central Business District and the Copenhagen North and
South/West as well as along the Roskilde and Hillerød Fingers.
The highest concentration of headquarters and domiciles is in
the Central Business District and Copenhagen North and Copenhagen
South/West. In addition, a significant fraction is located along
the fingers.
Traditionally, companies within logistics locate their business
along the major motorway connecting the Copenhagen Region with
Sweden and Germany. This means that the largest concentration of
companies within logistics are located from the Køge Finger in the
south to the Helsingør Finger in the north with a substantial
concentration in the Copenhagen South/West and Central Business
District. For airport-related logistics the Airport district
offers attractive location opportunities.
The highest concentration of companies within Life Sciences
(Biotech & Medico) originates from within the Central Business
District, around Copenhagen (Copenhagen South/West and North) and
outwards along the northbound fingers (the Helsingør and the
Hillerød Fingers).
The universities, R&D centres and advanced technology group
institutions (a network of independent Danish research and
technology organisations) - are dispersed in the region with the
largest density in the Central Business District. In
general, universities, centres and institutions are easily
accessed from all over the region.
