Business conditions:
Danish export is presently beyond any economic expectation. This also applies to Danish entrepreneurs’ and building producers’ export which continues with two-digit growth rates.
Danish entrepreneurs working abroad altogether had a turnover of over EUR 1.1 billion in 2007. It is an increase of 13 per cent compared with 2006 according to new figures from Danish Construction Association, published in Magasinet Ejendom.
The figures for new international contracts in 2007 also look good. New contracts for altogether EUR 900 million have been agreed to in 2007.
“The growth is especially a result of the fact that the Danish entrepreneurs have been good at developing new competences and adapting to a changing market. During the last couple of years the global energy and climate sector has been in focus and here the Danish entrepreneurs have gathered considerable expertise through several years such as water supply and water energy, says general manager Ebbe M. Iversen of Per Aarsleff A/S and chairman of Danish Construction Association’s export section.
The projects among other things consist of water power plants, wind power (foundations), sewer and drainage systems, tap water supply and coast protection projects.
Danish material producers are also doing very well according to new statistics from Statistics Denmark.
