12-12-2007
Business conditions:
Figures from the Danish Immigration Service show that compared to last year 342 more green cards have been issued this year. The total number is 1692.
“By the end of October the number of issued green cards had increased with 25% compared to 2006, and by the end of the year we expect it to be an increase of 50%,” says Managing Director of the Danish Immigration Service, Henrik Grunnet according to the financial daily Børsen.
He emphasizes that the scheme attracts a considerable number of people to Denmark.
It is a significant tendency that we see in the figures. We can contribute to bringing the groups of people that the scheme is aimed at to Denmark very fast. In fact there is a considerable immigration to Denmark - also people with higher education. “The debate is actually characterized by the myth that it is difficult which is not the case”, says Henrik Grunnet.
Especially the number of commuters has raised. It has more than doubled since 2005 and constitutes a group of about 45,000 people.
