Global support centre to open in Copenhagen

Thousands of travellers are to call a centre in Copenhagen, where IHI is leading an international office for travel and health insurances.
International Health Insurance Denmark (IHI) has taken over private clients from one of the biggest international insurance companies, British United Provident Association (BUPA) – and the office in Copenhagen is now to operate as a call centre for insurance clients all over the world, writes Ritzaus Bureau.
Insured all over the world get counselling in 20 different languages. The centre must in fact be ready to handle pressure when there are international crises.
IHI has been in the insurance business for more than 30 years. IHI services more than 270.000 clients in more than 190 countries . Both business clients and private. In 2005 IHI became a part of BUPA that has more than 40,000 employees.
