Science parks
A number of science parks are located in Copenhagen and the Øresund Region. Science parks typically offer of office and laboratory facilities and are situated in close proximity to universities and other high tech environments. They are an important element in stimulating co-operation between researchers, businesses and venture capital companies. Projects in science parks often involve researchers and other partners and therefore they are attractive locations for highly innovative companies. Typically, they target start-ups by offering incubator facilities, as well as established companies.
Besides renting out office and laboratory facilities, the science parks in the Øresund Region offer a wide range of services, for example:

Business networks in the Øresund Region
A range of business networks in the Øresund Region have joined forces to stimulate cross-border knowledge sharing and development of the region:
- Life Science: Medicon Valley Academy actively promotes closer co-operation between the pharmaceutical industry, the research community and hospitals. MVA has approx. 250 member companies. The goal is to make the Øresund Region the most attractive biotech region in Europe. For more information see

- Logistics: Øresund Logistics is a network organisation for stakeholders within logistics in the Øresund Region. The organisation works to further develop logistics and supply chain management competencies in the region as well market the region as the gateway to the Scandinavian and Baltic region.
