Analytical decision criteria tools, which can assist companies in the process of restructuring activities or establishing a regional organisation.
In cooperation with IBM Consulting and Logistic Consulting Group, Copenhagen Capacity has developed three analytical decision criteria tools, which can assist companies in the process of restructuring activities or establishing a regional organisation, e.g. Scandinavian headquarters, shared service centre or distribution centre.
Benchmark model - IBM Consulting
The Benchmark model is an excellent tool for supporting a location decision. By assisting in weighting all relevant qualitative as well as quantitative factors it offers companies insight into the competitive positioning of a number of different cities, as location for a company’s regional activities. The qualitative and quantitative dimensions are ultimately put together in one comparative model that gives comparative competencies regarding different project types on a wide range of cities around the world.
The foundation for the model is international statistics, such as IMD, Eurostat and Watson Wyatt.
Cost / benefit estimate model - IBM Consulting
Companies can access the cost consequence of splitting all their European activities up into 3 or 4 regions. Based on companies’ current situation and preferred future situation (after restructuring), the model estimates the costs and benefits of the company’s restructuring situation. Geographically the model can benchmark against a wide range of European cities.
Logistic model - Logistic Consulting Group
The logistic model can give companies a picture of their optimal placement of a Nordic distribution centre based on the geographic distribution of the company’s customers and the weighting of two factors: Transport time and costs. The model is assuming that the company is already present in Europe.
